Rana Mahal is the first initiative of Heel Mooi Projects Private Limited. We acquired a neglected heritage site on the banks of Varanasi in India, dating from 1670, in the very center of Kashi. We aim to re-energise it and give it back its old strength. Starting by renovating it and making it a place were guests from all walks of life feel very welcome. Their home away from home to explore amazing Varanasi and beyond. Right now we’re operating (6 rooms only) and renovating at the same time, what is a challenge, but nevertheless the reviews are awesome. Think that’s because people feel the genuine love we put in this project, our basecamp for enriching the world with positive initiatives.

Right now we are looking for an Enthusiastic English Speaking Guest Relations
Colleague. Do you happen to know someone – man or woman that’s equal to us – that speaks both Hindi and English and could, thanks to skills and the nature of personality, be a valued member of the growing and good spirited team of Rana Mahal? We would like to get to know that person a little better because that might be our future guest relations hero. We need someone friendly, dedicated working on guest requests – from food orders to transport and darshan arrangements to laundry service and more. A warm pleaser that also knows how to set healthy boundaries. As a team we’re available for our guests 24/7, so also evening shifts will be part of the work. The salary will be in line with the job description. People that come from outside Varanasi we can provide a place to stay.

We are also looking for a good chef, one that loves the Indian Cuisine, and prepares it ‘like a mother’ – with the very best Indian home food vibe. Of course every now and then we will prepare some Western signature dishes too. Not very skilled in that? No problem, we can teach you.

For now we are fine, but we expect that in the near future we might also need more staff for cleaning and guards too.
