Rana Mahal, built by the former rulers of Mewar, Rajasthan in 1670, is the perfect location to stay in Varanasi. Situated in Kashi, the spiritual heart of the city, it offers full view on the amazing sunrise above the Ganges river, situated at Rana Mahal Ghat, and on walking distance from the great Kashi Vishwanath Temple. At our place you can fully surrender yourself to ‘just be’. Both pilgrims and tourists that are seeking for an extraordinary experience.

Rana Mahal is a one of a kind, a perfect place for world citizens. To the rich heritage of the palace and it’s famous ghat, we added some refined contemporary art, design, warm hearted service and lots of love. While enjoying the charm and richness of the place we want you at the same time feel home. It’s up to you if you want to mingle with the other guests or prefer to stay in your own company. Both are fine with us.
Right now we’re still in the ‘Best Exotic Marigold Phase’ of the project. Thanks to some delays in delivering and all we’re not fully ready. However we do want to give you already the opportunity to enjoy our place during Kumbh Mela and right after that in the good season. For us that seems to be the best moment to start our new adventure, to bring back life to a special venue like this, in Varanasi. It matches our intentions to host Indians, NRI’s and other international guest looking for beautiful experiences and connections. So, don’t expect perfection at all – there’s no lift for example, you will have to walk all the centuries old stairs to the rooftop and the place is still in the ‘work in progress’ phase. On the other hand, just look at the sunrise and understand why we accepted this challenge when the venue came on our paths – and do not want to keep it closed for you any longer. You just want to enjoy this view. Nothing more, nothing less!
